In the mind-bending story of the Marvel comic character Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Dr. Steven Strange. The director of the first movie Scott Derrickson will not be sitting on the director’s chair for the sequel. He tweeted on Jan 9 that he is stepping down as a director for the sequel due to the “Creative Differences” with the heads of Marvel and Disney. On the same day, Marvel thanked him for his contribution to MCU.
Doctor Strange sequel is going to be the part of Phase 4 of MCU. Phase 4 includes the Black Widow, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings. There are several streaming shows of Marvel on Disney+ as well.
On November 7, Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, said that fans should have the subscription of Disney+ because all the events from new streaming shows will be going to affect the sequel. Adding to that Feige said that Scarlet Witch (portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen) would play a key role in the movie and series The Loki will tie in too the movie.

This movie will be released on May 7, 2021, under the name “Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness.”
Plot Details:
In Comic-Con 2019, director Derrickson (then) announced that the name of the sequel, and it will be the first MCU movie in the genre of horror. He said that the gothic and spooky elements made him fall in love with the character of dr. Strange in the first place.
Originally, Dr. Strange was created in 1963 by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee. This is the character in Marvel comics with the power of mystic spells and arts.
Doctor Strange will be joined by Scarlet Witch, who got here from the events of Infinity War and EndGame. Her character will lead into the movie from series Wanda Vision, where she will reunite with her love interest Vision. Even though they are the members of Avenger, the first half of the season will be wacky sitcom-like, and the other half will be MCU epic adventure type.
There aren’t many details about the plot of Doctor Strange or how Wanda will fit in the movie (because of the secrecy of Marvel). Yet no-one can stop fans themselves from trying to search and guess the plot and villain of the movie.
One Reddit user speculates, ” Wanda will discover one reality where Vision can live and Avengers still beat Thanos. This will make her angry and insane. She blamed Doctor Strange for the death of Vision. “
If this is true, there will be a possibility that in any possible parallel universe, she is living a happy sit-comic life with very much alive Vision.
